MA Thesis: “ORIGINAL and SIGNIFICANT research or creative work”
PhD Dissertation: “original, significant, INDEPENDENT* scientific research or creative work”

1.    A CRITICAL EVALUATION of previous work done
2.    CLEAR, SYSTEMATIC, and SCHOLARLY presentation of findings
